Teachers -- Join the Pulsar Search Collaboratory (West)!
Online Sessions: Mondays at 6 PM CDT beginning October 1, 2012Teacher Workshop: October 19-21, 2012 at Yerkes Observatory
The National Radio Astronomy Observatory and West Virginia University cordially invites you and your students to collaborate with us in the grand adventure of scientific discovery!
Stipends of up to $300 are available for completing the workshop and creating school-based teams.
Room and board are provided.
3 semester hours of graduate credit from West Virginia University is available.
How can I get involved? By joining the Pulsar Search Collaboratory (PSC).
Students in school-based PSC teams will:
Gain first-hand experience in conducting scientific research;
Improve their 21st Century Skills;
Learn more about Science, Mathematics,Technology and Engineering (STEM) careers;
All while actually helping astronomers search the Galaxy for new pulsars!
